Workshop Series are a series of classes that run for a set of certain dates and require you to sign up for all of them.

Somatic Study Group | 4-Week Course with Kristin Jackson and Gena Rho

Come explore beyond just doing your somatic movements. This online 4-week gathering is for current and regular somatic explorers to dive deeper into the art, science and philosophy of what moves us.
Explore how somatic awareness intersects with:
~Beliefs vs realities about our bodies, health, and brains.
~Somatic awareness in regards freedom, autonomy and personal agency.
~Creativity and expression.
~Neuroscience and behavior.
Please register if you can attend the classes LIVE. You will receive a recording as well, but attendance is needed to make this format of class work as a collaborative workshop. Optional discounted private lessons available. Scholarships available, please email Kristin if needed.

I've been doing the Somatics moves you taught me, and I do notice that my lower back pain is much better. I never did reschedule with that chiropractor since this works so well.

Since I've started Somatics my body feels "looser" and more relaxed, especially when I'm moving. ... my aches and pains that I thought were part of aging are gone. I'm much more aware of my alignment as I walk .... I feel way more in tune with my body.
I'm not a natural athlete and usually prefer to curl up with a book instead of moving around. Just knowing that something is good for me isn't enough to motivate me. But boy am I motivated by anything that makes me feel this good. And doing Somatics makes me feel so good it makes it easier to actually do the "exercises".

* How Online Classes work

To "attend" online classes you will need
* a wifi connection
* a laptop computer, tablet, iPad, smart phone device (desktop computers don't work because they are on a desk and you are on the floor)
* open space to lie down on the floor (unless we are doing a seated/standing class)
* so I can see you better, a well lit area works best
* space to walk around a bit as well

IMPORTANT!
Once registered, you will receive emailed confirmation. The email will contain a link to the online "classroom". We use Zoom, which is like Skype, but better IMO.
Please get online prior to class and set up your space so you are visible to the camera of your device. If I can't see you, I can't help you with your practice as well. Below is an example of what I'm talking about.

Additional Information about Classes and Workshops

Cancellations and No Shows
Think Somatics requires a 24 hour notice to cancel your registration for classes.. You are responsible for this. You can cancel your registration within your account, as well with the cancel/reschedule link that is in the email confirmation you received when registering for class. Just emailing Kristin Jackson or Think Somatics to cancel your registration does not apply. Failure to attend a class you registered for will result in a forfeit of the class.
