I think of myself as a "visual learner" so I'm wondering if the audio lessons will work for me. . .
Fitness classes are fast paced and you want to watch the instructor to keep up. Somatics classes are sooooo different. Kristin will guide through your lessons, slowly and with detailed descriptions. And you know what? In live studio classes students have eyes closed as they listen to verbal cues.
If there is a particular portion of a lesson that may need a bit of visual explanation, Kristin will refer to the Somatic Movement Library so you can watch it.

Is Somatics suitable for me?
Somatics can help every body! From those in pain to athletes wanting to enhance their game, and people of any gender, any age. Somatics classes are not exercise classes. They are classes to enhance your brain's sensory-motor awareness of yourself via gentle, slow movement.

Can I do Somatics on my bed?
Beds can be very soft and squishy, which makes it easier to over do the movements.
If you must do the class from a bed, please do the moves very gently, slowly and avoid making large, exaggerated motions.
Over time you should find you can get to the floor. I have clients well into their 80s who can, you can too!

Are monthly memberships based on calendar months for from date of activation?
Your monthly membership starts the day you enroll and renews each month on the same date. If you choose an annual membership, the same applies.
Can I cancel at any time?

Will my membership automatically renew?
Yes, per industry standards, your membership will automatically renew each month or year depending on the plan option you choose. If you want to cancel before your membership renews, please cancel it at least 24 hours before your renewal date. You will have access through the last day of your billing cycle.
What are the terms of my membership?
Your Think Somatics Community Plan is billed monthly or annually, depending on your original sign up, using the credit card information you provide at enrollment. You can cancel at any time. Cancellations take effect the last day of your billing cycle and are not prorated. This means you can cancel any time, and still have access to the plan through the end of your billing cycle.

What if I have a question about a lesson?
Once registered, you can ask questions and get answers, in the comments section below each of the lessons. The Think Somatics Community Plans are ultimately designed for self-directed practice. If you need a lot of personal attention and have lots of questions, please schedule a private session with Kristin. You can also learn a lot about Somatics from Kristin's blog.
Do I need any special equipment?
Ultimately the only things you need for Somatics is your brain, body, and a quiet space and time.
That said, here is some additional information.
SOMATICS CLASSES
Somatics classes are done lying on the floor, so you might want a mat, blanket or rug.
You might want a pillow for some of the side-lying movements.
Some classes are done standing and seated.
If we do a seated class, a chair or stool with a flat seat and no arms are best.
If there is any special equipment needed for a course, it will listed in your course information.
PROACTIVE POSTURAL RESTRUCTURING CLASSES
PPR classes are done sitting on a chair, sitting on the floor and lying on the floor. You can also do the lessons with your back or legs against the wall. PPR classes are included in Level 3 Plan only.
SOMA FIT
These classes may incorporate fitness gear, such as exercise balls, hand weights, exercise tubing, gliding discs, etc. Most items are easily acquired at your local sporting goods store, big box or online. Any needed equipment will be listed with the course description prior to start of class. SOMA FIT classes are included in Level 3 Plan only.
How long are the Recorded lessons?
Generally live classes and recordings are between 45-60 minutes long. E-courses may include more than one lesson recording.
