Hi there! I'm Kristin Jackson. Even though I have nearly 30 years experience as a Personal Trainer and Somatic Educator, I found myself just like a lot of women when I entered my menopause transition. Lousy sleep, weight gain, low energy, hot flashes, the list goes on. I was dismissed by my healthcare provider and told, "It's just the way things go at this age. Get use to it."
Wait. What!? Was I expected to live the next 30+ years in decline?
I just couldn't accept that. And neither are a lot of women our age. (Go GenXers! ;-) I wanted to feel better physically and mentally, so I tweaked my fitness routine + what I was eating, and voila, after just 30 days I had lost inches and was feeling more energized. I always prescribed to the belief that exercise is medicine, and it's never been truer for women in menopause and beyond!

In fact, if you or someone you know has dieted most of your life to fit in tiny pants, this is the time to eat enough and increase your muscle mass. You won't bulk up, but you will help preserve your bones. Falling with brittle bones is a recipe for disaster. Let's get strong and keep our power as we age!
do I have to attend the live classes?
It's recommended that you sign up for a course that meets in Kristins's studio or on Zoom to reap all the benefits, though it's not required.
Will the live classes be recorded?
Kristin will record the Zoom classes and they will be share with both studio and Zoom groups.
What equipment do I need for this course?
This course is designed to be easy to add to your life. No special exercise equipment required. Here are things you can use for some of the exercises in the routines.
chair with flat seat, ideally with no arms, wheels or swivel
counter top, table top, coffee table, ottoman
large towel
yoga mat, rug or mat
sneakers or barefeet
water to drink
two hot mitts, wash rags, or gliders (optional)
water bottles, hand weights (this is totally optional but if you want to up your workout, and have them, feel free to add them to the exercises when Kristin prompts you)
I'm not in good shape. can I take this course?

If I Miss class can I get a refund?
There are no refunds or partial payments offered. Space is limited so please only register if you are ready to show up for yourself and the group! Remember, there will be a recording of the Zoom group class, and shared with both groups, so if you miss class you can catch it later! :-)
How long do I have access to the course?
Honestly, to say a course is available forever is not possible. You will have unlimited access to the course for as long as it's available. This means the end of the world could come or Kristin retire and runs off to Tahiti and the course would close. If there are changes you will be notified.
Will there be a special diet to go with this program?
Kristin is personal trainer, not a nutritionist or dietician. Prescribing a diet is outside her scope of practice (that goes for all personal trainers unless they have additional certifications/licences.) She will share recipes and information about healthy food choices, macronutrient suggestions for best muscle gain/weight loss to help you fuel your workouts and take care of your body, brain and gut as you age.

Can I take this course even if I'm not in the menopause transition?
Absolutely! No matter what age you are, women need to get and stay strong. Too many women do cardio as their main exercise, lift light weights, or don't exercise at all. This course is designed to help women get stronger so they can work up to heavier lifting, which can help with metabolism and bone strength/preventing osteoporosis as we all age.) Heavy lift can also help women develop/maintain strength and power so they can function well throughout life, rather than rapidly decline after menopause. Whether you are pre-perimenopause, perimenopause, in menopause or way post menopause, this course can benefit you!
