This class is done on the floor, including being on your hands and knees.
When we get to the section on hands and knees, often people say they can't rest on their hands, palms face down on the floor. This is most likely because the inside of the forearm and palm side of the hands are constantly contracted. This is makes it challenging to extend the wrists so the palms can rest on the floor. If you need, grab a blanket and roll in into a log and place your hands on it so your wrists aren't at a 90 degree angle, but rather the hands can drape forward over the "log" a bit.
Things to know:
PS Some of the moves from this lesson, if memory serves me, are from a lesson I took with Carrie Day. check out her website, Day Somatics sometime. She was one of my first teachers and I really enjoy being guided through a lesson with her!
Most of the routines are 45-60 minutes long.

Search for key words...
Use command+F to search for key words like running, back, pelvis, arch and flatten.
That said, please remember Somatics is not about addressing one muscle at a time or certain areas of the body. Humans function as a whole system, so no matter what the focus of a class, everyone can benefit.
